I do like the approach of taking the weakest track for each in comparison to finish your album assessment... However--that becomes an experiment of the median, not the mean if that makes sense. I can think of some very strong albums with an outlier or two in that regard (Duran^2 the Wedding Album, I am looking at you.) But great stuff as usual.
I don't disagree. In truth, Shaking the Habitual is kind of like that. Very, very strong overall, but with a few tracks that make the "fast forward" button more inviting than it should be. Point being here, however, that The Waves LP doesn't have any such tracks. Solid all the way through, but not without a couple of challenging moments.
