In this episode:
My Brightest Diamond - A Million and One (2018)
Kraftwerk - Computer World (1981)
Georgia Anne Muldrow - Overload (2018)
Phil Lanzon - If You Think I'm Crazy? (2017)
Frank Sinatra and Count Basie - Sinatra at the Sands (1966)
Great post. The production value gets better each time. We discussed the audio clipping offline. I have always had a background interest in big bands and Basie is a great place to start a deep dive. I remember listening to big bands on vinyl with my grandmother as a kid, and she always said they would make a comeback. I'm not sure they ever fully left.

Basie is THE place to start. He set the standard for big band. 5 sax, 5 trombone, 5 crumpets was his preferred instrumentation
ReplyDeleteTrumpets, that is...
